We are a non-denominational primary school serving the Peeblesshire town of Innerleithen and it's surrounding areas. With a dedicated nursery and 8 primary classes, our school is located in magnificent grounds with views of the Tweed valley and surrounding hills.
Our two schools work in partnership to deliver excellence in teaching and learning whilst retaining our individual school identities. We share a management team, curriculum support staff and teaching resources. We regularly join classes to share learning, learning experiences and to celebrate our shared values and unique school identities.
We are a non-denominational primary school serving the Peeblesshire village of Walkerburn and it's surrounding areas. With a dedicated nursery and 2 primary classes, our school is located adjacent to the River Tweed within breath taking countryside.
The St Ronan's Parent Partnership is a group of volunteer parents who have children at St Ronan's. The role of our Parent Partnership includes promoting partnership between parents, the school, Scottish Borders Council and our local community; assisting the work and life of the school to make the experience welcoming and inclusive to all; and
encouraging involvement in all aspects of our children’s learning at St Ronan's.
St Ronan's has an active PTA bringing together volunteer parents, school staff and our children to raise funds and run events for our school community. Funds generated by our PTA are used to enhance and enrich our children's learning and make St Ronan's a stimulating, fun and interesting place to learn. The St Ronan's Edible Garden is a Community Garden located at the edge of our school grounds. Run by a steering group and volunteers, Alex the Gardener works with our pupils to inspire, motivate and build confidence to grow their own food to promote a healthy lifestyle. We are a school at the heart of our community. The Innerleithen community plays an invaluable role in providing experiences and opportunities for all of our pupils. We are grateful to work regularly with, amongst others, Innerleithen Golf Club, Innerleithen Tennis Club, St Ronan's Bowling Club, St Ronan's Silver Band, and Leithen Vale Sports Club. St Ronan's Primary School is lucky to play a central role in the St Ronan's Borders Games - Innerleithen's annual family festival, incorporating St Ronan's Border Games and Cleikum Ceremonies. As well as participating in the various attractions of Games Week, representatives from our classes are chosen each year to fulfil the roles of Dux Boy (St Ronan), Dux Girl, Monks, Sash Girls and Lantern Bearer.
